The MakerHive has a range of equipment which can be used by members and non-members. From the Laser Cutter, 3D printers, Laser engraver, even a Singer sewing machine and soon a Carvey CNC machine.
LASER CUTTER (Universal Laser Systems PLS6.75)
Our PLS6.75 is a CO2 free standing platform designed and engineered for light manufacturing operations and batch productions. With a laser cutter, you can easily do cutting and engrave designs on various materials.
It has a working area of: 32″ x 18″ x 9″ or 5,184 in³ (813 x 457 x 229 mm or 84,950 cm³).

3D PRINTER (Ultimaker 2+ UL0015)
Our Ultimaker 2+ can perform complex 3D printing tasks with ease. It excels at printing bridging, overhangs and accurate details.
Our CARVEY is a machine catered towards creating 3D projects suitable for use with a variety of materials including wood, soft metals and wax. This noise and debris containing technology will keep your hands clean.
It has a working area of: 11.6″ x 8″ x 2.75″ or 255 in³.
Spindle: 300 DC – 12,000 RPM
SEWING MACHINE (Brother Stitch Lock DB2-B735)
Located in our workshop is a quaint sewing room. Our sewing room comes with basic sewing tools, fabric mannequins and a wide pattern making table.

VACUUM FORMER (FormBox Mayku)
Our vacuum former is designed to process and shape plastic. The Makyu FormBox works best with thermoplastic sheets of 0.25-1.5mm in thickness.

MakerHive Workshop Membership
MakerHive offers special Membership for anyone who would like to use the workshop for just 100HKD a month. This gives you access to use the Workshop anytime Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm. Plus other times by arrangement.
You will also have access to MakerHive events and can use the hotdesks for short times if you need to.
